Prepare, survive, thrive
Dear esteemed bitcoin remnants. My name is Niko Laamanen and I run the first bitcoin only publishing house Konsensus Network. Since 2019 we have been publishing other authors' books in several languages with the help of a starfish organization
comprising of dozens of volunteers. Now I want to join the ranks of
authors by writing a practical but entertaining guidebook on wielding
bitcoin, that is, to effortlessly flex your monetary muscles to deter
modern world parasites that seek to destroy the realm of men. Bitcoin is
a weapon of self-defense of the highest grade.
Wielding
bitcoin shifts the paradigm from dependence on state into voluntary
cooperation based on specialization leading to individual
profitability maximization. A cornerstone of human development
since the beginning of time. State does not provide the services it
once perhaps did and it is once again time to wield the power
and responsibility ourselves.
About the book
The book is based on a Citadel21 article: https://www.citadel21.com/wielding-bitcoin
I wrote a while back. I noticed that I had a lot more to say about the
topic and after getting great feedback for the article, I decided to
make it into a comprehensive guidebook for bitcoin remnants, the low
time preference kings and queens that have decided to bear the burden of
manifesting a new, better tomorrow backed by bitcoin standard and other
weapons of sovereignty.
The book is not only about bitcoin but
how to prepare yourself with necessary resources and skills and how to
survive clown world to finally be able to thrive in the second realm of
men backed by bitcoin and human action. As my knowledge on certain
topics such as agriculture, mining and taproot are somewhat limited, I
decided to partner up with a fellow bitcoin remnant Renik Van den Eynde.
We
have already started writing and have about 20 pages worth of book
ready. No idea how big the book will get as it seems we are adding new
topics to cover every week. If you want to suggest resources or topics
to cover, never hesitate to PM us on Twitter or drop an email to niko@konsensus.network. We have included the outline of the book along with some samples to give you an idea what to expect.
Inspiration
can't be forced or rushed so we don't have an exact timeline for the
release of the book but getting it out ASAP seems like a good idea as
the clown world is gearing up for its final hurrah. 2022 would be nice
but we'll see how much interest the book generates.
Share this page with your peers to help motivate us and to dedicate more time in finishing the book!
Who is this book for?
There
are already many bitcoin books that outline the value proposal,
cultural healing or technical aspects of bitcoin. They tend to answer
questions like ”why should I be interested in this new technology?” Or
”how exactly is bitcoin going to fix this?” Or ”how can I
benefit from the protocol
by understanding it more in depth?” Not to mention
the gargantuan amount of trading books that give you advice on how to
benefit from fiat volatility (no,
bitcoin is not volatile, fiat is). The book we are writing now is
answering the superseding question: ”so what?” You know the realm
of men is on the brink of collapse. You know the money is the main
issue. You know strong men forged in bad times create better times
that create weak men who then again bring about the bad times and so
the cycle repeats. You definitely know bitcoin is poised to break
this vicious cycle. This book will suggest how to prepare for the
collapse of human empire, how to survive it and how to thrive in the
aftermath while ensuring eternal flourishment of humanity. We do it
by wielding bitcoin.
Who is this book NOT for?
If
you are buying bitcoin to flip it into fiat for “gains”, this
book is not for you. Freedom is the ultimate priority and we don’t
negotiate with terrorists. We refuse to comply with centrally planned
cacophony and we reject your fiat decrees and the false idols you
worship. We don’t recognize fiat currency as money and we use it
as we use toilet paper: when we have to.
About the Authors

I had a fiat life as a
construction engineer where I was coordinating and executing
multi-million commercial renovation projects while living ”the
life” as we knew pre-bitcoin. It was a great experience as I
discovered many of the techniques I still use to this day when
running projects, mainly the starfish model where leadership
manifests in the trenches via example rather than by ivory tower
decree. People who choose to follow from their own selfish will are
worthy allies.
The
nagging feeling that something in the world was not quite right drove
me to depression, burnout and finally to quit the fiat life and start
my journey as a nomad and a storyteller. After re-discovering bitcoin
in 2017 (after
first discovering it in 2010)
my life got a new meaning. I realized there is an out from the
madness of modernity that plagues the realm of men to this day. The
idea that someone else would know better what is good for me always
felt wrong and it took understanding bitcoin and Austrian economics
to shake me out of the decades of indoctrination and of the feeling of
being a ”bad seed” due to lack of compliance.
After
tumbling down the rabbit hole of sovereign information warfare, I
realized that bitcoin is the only hand to play in the game of life and
it matters little if the opponent has a better hand in the end as we
are doomed if we lose. Nothing to do but to go all-in financially,
mentally and socially. I have dedicated my remaining days to informing
those in need and most of all, those who want to unplug from the matrix.
Sovereign individuals will out-compete the state violence monopolies
eventually but before that, we have our work cut out, perhaps for
decades still. HODLing is cool, but I choose WIEDLing.

I
spent most of my younger life gladly living within the system, not
knowing any better, defending democracy and devouring mainstream
media. This changed abruptly when I discovered Bitcoin in 2017. What
first started as a technical interest, soon dragged me into the socioeconomic implications of this new discovery. Slowly, by
learning about the solution, I started to see the problem. In the
meantime the system that I used to believe in and that I gave every
chance to prove itself, kept on failing me. Today I am convinced that
bitcoin is our only hope for breaking the chains that have held
mankind captive and that this will not happen (fast enough) by simply
hodling.
I
started translating bitcoin books for Konsensus Network in 2021 and
came into contact with Niko. Soon, after Niko published his original
'Wielding Bitcoin' article, the idea for this book started brewing.
As an agricultural engineer I am especially interested in how our
agriculture has been corrupted by fiat and centralization and what
bitcoin could bring to this sector. This book is giving me the time
to explore my ideas and put them to paper. I’d like to thank Niko
and you, the reader, for this unique opportunity. Now grab your
weapon, stand beside me on this hill and wield bitcoin.

For all
freedom maximalists that choose to wield bitcoin for the betterment
of humanity. It is a pleasure and a privilege to stand beside you on
this hill. In all our lives we have not found such honesty,
integrity, morality and love.
Democracy, the dog that failed
”Bad dog!” Says the freedom maximalist waking up from the
nightmarish fallacy of ”democracy is not even worst” persuasion.
After all, dogs are bred to be servants of men and isn’t that the
false promise democracy proponents peddle in fiat indoctrination
camps we are accustomed to call public schools? Even a tyrant rests
every once in a while but a democratically elected official believing
from the bottom of their heart that they are doing good for people
will never stop meddling with our lives, causing more damage than the
problem they are trying to fix.
Democracy is a beautiful idea, just like communism but it falls short
all the same as no-one can govern reality like natural balance,
certainly not the general population. In simple terms:
"Because democracy basically means: government by
the people, of the people, for the people. But the people are
retarded. So let us say: government by the retarded, of the retarded,
for the retarded." – Osho
Making saving sexy again
Mainstream
pop-economists (Keynesians) see inflation as an important feature to
increase money velocity. Without reckless spending the economy would
grind to a halt, and should the purchasing power of money increase
(as with bitcoin) instead of decreasing (as with fiat currency),
people would just save their money and the businesses would go
bankrupt. Or so goes the story. There is no denying the consumption
would decrease. Then again it is also a popular opinion that we are
living in a world dominated by opulent consumerism with multitude of
issues ranging from global warming to waste management that might
just be easier to solve with lower consumption. People would still
not entirely stop spending if reckless money creation would end; the
spending would just gravitate from malinvestments towards more
sustainable investments that are anticipated to yield greater
benefits over time than simply saving the money for later.
In
other words, bitcoin makes saving sexy again.
Gather knowledge
Books, specifically printed paper, books are a great store of
informational value. They have a high Lindy
effect,
meaning they will likely be around much longer than many humans.
E-books are great too, but in a shit-hits-the-fan -event,
paper books are invaluable. Don’t shy away from spending sats to
hold books, as they will be an investment worthy of holding and
passing on to your heirs. Consider that you are also supporting the
authors, helping them contribute even more great ideas to the eternal
information pool that grows stronger when tapped into.
Moon is built on actions prompted by good ideas.
Chain of lies
Speaking in half truths is a great red herring strategy because
humans naturally display tells or ticks to signal when they are lying
because the lie takes more effort and expends more energy having to
be tracked for and remembered so not to drive oneself to a corner
later when talking about something seemingly irrelevant and revealing
the chain of lies. Keeping up with the work expended to propagate and
broadcast the chain of lies stacks up and eventually there will be a
slip that exposes the truth one is trying to obfuscate.
Plant a
red herring deliberately,
avoid lying in general. For example you could post to social media a
picture from a place you have been before, perhaps several years ago
but plant it so that it gives the impression you are there currently.
For this it is best to use a picture you have never before published
anywhere as otherwise it will be very easy to decipher. And remember
that the best lie is one you are capable of believing yourself.
Circle of trust
Accountability is the constant across the gradient of a sovereign
individual's partners. Bitcoin is the first monolith of absolute
history; it cannot lie. Not so with humans that will lie in order to
survive and to reach their goals. Honesty and accountability thus
become key properties in human partners as they are unverifiable
unlike bitcoin: we must trust.
In this chapter we explore different partnerships any bitcoin
remnant ought to find useful if not necessary in their quest to
wielding bitcoin to manifest favorable outcomes. After all dying
alone and heir-less is a sign of a very high time preference: so your
goal was to live fast and die young with no legacy? Nah, we need to
do better than that. We have a sacred duty to keep the unbroken chain
of humanity alive and well.
We talk about wives and husbands but this is not to say marriage
as institution is necessary. In fact it's kind of weird to seek the
approval or sanction of a trusted 3rd party to verify your
partnership with someone:
"Honey, I love you!"
"I love you too, babe!"
"Let's involve the state!"
Doesn't add up.
Watch
out for Agent Smith
Most of the people who built their lives on the sandy beaches
awash with lies of establishment and illusion of complete knowledge, where there can be none, will go Agent Smith on you and protect
the system rather than you as they desperately cling to the welfare state,
misplaced faith in police state protection or Stockholm syndrome
resulting from not being able to face the ugly truth that they are
slaves. The conclusion is clear: they can’t be trusted and you are
better off without that dead weight in your freedom train.
Craft weapons
Bitcoin is a weapon of self defense of the highest grade. It
allows you to protect your personal property rights and to procure
efficient means to enforce them. Your HODL stack might help disarm
the state violence monopolies, but it doesn’t prevent someone
performing a 5$ wrench attack on you or your family. Yes, you might
have a distress wallet, but at this point any competent attacker will
know about it.
The best defense against a meatspace offender is often to remove
yourself and your loved ones from the vicinity of the attacker as
fast as possible, so at least until the current oppressive regimes
are neutered, it would be unwise to set up a base that can be
overrun. At least have a grab bag and a plan.
We
can wield weapons to initiate aggression or to deter it. Bitcoin is
the ultimate weapon of self defense. To protect our purchasing power
is monetary disarmament and its best described by Thiers’
law, where good money drives out bad. This
is why hodling can prevent wars by wresting the leverage from the
hands of warmongers.
Preventing
wars is a great start but our humanity demands we live, that is, to
act in order to alleviate uneasiness, to enjoy life, to do whatever
the hell we want to do.
Grow food
Or pay someone to do
it for you. The power of division of labor allows us to focus on our
expertise and what we enjoy most. Most people will never be cattle
farmers, nor is there a need for that. One competent cattle farmer
could service the whole citadel, and provide quality meat packaged
and delivered to your door. No centralized, inefficient supply chains
required. Even cow
farts can
be turned into sats! Imagine the misty-eyed eco-hippies who think
bitcoin and cow farts are our worst enemies.
Agriculture is the
basis of human life on earth, it provides us with the two solemn
things we need in order to survive and thrive: energy and nutrition.
Without these two we would not have the building blocks that make up
our body and we would not have the energy to keep it from yielding
against the natural force that would inevitably drive it towards
entropy. As such, securing food and water will be the first concern
in a collapsing economic world, where the current centralized supply
chains will break down. Whenever a new civilization is founded in
virgin territory, finding and growing food is always a priority. In
this chapter we will first discuss how the centralized agriculture we
have today came into existence and what the foundation of this system
are. Because of the dominance of this system there is no resilience
of the food supply against any extreme event.
Raise children
Sex
is a high time preference activity, procreation is low.
Investing in children is probably the best use for your sats, as
it’s highly unlikely you will ever have the impact on human
civilization that your offspring will. It’s also crucial to ensure
future citadels are populated with well trained, morally sound
citizens of the global village society. Funnily enough, the moon we
build is actually earth.
Since we’re talking about renaissance of human civilization, it
stands to reason that we home-school our young instead of putting
them in statist quo brainwashing institutes. Following the
herd might feel tempting, especially if most of your time is consumed
in a fiat job, but don’t fall for it. Quit your fiat job, take full
responsibility. Perhaps one day under the bitcoin standard we’ll
have real private schools, providing better education using the
latest tools, but for now, the internet and time will have to do.
If we can teach our children to read and to research, to
pragmatically think of a problem and intuitively come up with queries
to find the relevant resources to teach themselves how to solve any
problem, they will become completely unstoppable. We are not
here to teach them what to think but how to think.
Sovereign market capitalism
Every service, defense and roads included, are best provided by
private enterprise. They have all the incentives to provide good
service as customer is king. People who wield unconfiscatable money
make their vote count.
Historically, there has always been a state. And perhaps that
continues to be true, depending on what you’d call a state. But for
the very least they will be vastly downsized due to stopping of money
printing in bitcoin standard. The return of the city state.
